Aura Mae | [email protected] | (253) 555-1212
Aura doesn't hesitate to suggest changes to keep clients' looks updated, nor is she shy about trying new things. She is uniquely skilled at helping clients find styles that flatter them, fit into their lifestyle, and don't take ages to style. If you want a haircut that looks good even if you aren't gifted with styling tools and techniques, Aura has an answer. She was voted Tacoma's Best Haircutter two years in a row, so whether you want a technically precise cut (she trained at Vidal Sassoon) or a more fluid razor cut, you will be in good hands. (Cut & Style: $75)
While she has a special affinity for using bright, crayon colors (the class she teaches most often to other hairdressers is about working with these dyes), Aura understands that not everyone wants color that draws attention to itself. She is just as happy to create a look so natural that no one knows your hair is colored.
Aura works to craft a custom color for each client and may use any number of tools, techniques, and technology including hand painting, balayage and precision foiling. Elumen High-Performance Haircolor or Olaplex Bond Multiplier are included in all color services. Creative sessions with Aura Mae are billed at $100/hour and are limited to a maximum of four hours (most sessions are 2-3 hours). If your hair requires more work than can be accomplished in one session, a plan will be put in place for your Haircolor Journey.
In addition to providing clients in the salon with beautiful hair, Aura has other projects she pursues. She spent a number of years as a traveling educator teaching classes to hairdressers across the country for major haircolor manufacturers. She now serves on the Board of Directors for the American Board of Certified Haircolorists and is a speaker at their annual Energizing Summit.
In her first book, Get Some Hairapy! A hairdresser's prescription for happiness, she shares her best insights and stories to help you create the life you deserve. Copies are available at your favorite online bookseller (including Kindle Unlimited.)
Aura is a lifestyle guide and food personality. You can follow her food adventures at auramae.com, on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Be advised that Aura has a very full calendar. To ensure your hair is maintained on schedule, it is highly recommended that you schedule your next visit before leaving the salon.

Carrie Martin | [email protected] | (253) 555-1212
Carrie began her career in the downtown market and has been in the Harmon building for years (through all the construction!). She was the driving force that brought Azarra (for whom she worked in the 1990's) downtown and brought this team of highly trained and highly skilled colorists together.
Carrie's artistic flair shows through in everything she does. She is a singer/songwriter and is currently working on her second album with Tahoma Souls Alive. (Copies of her first album are available in the salon.) Follow her musical journey on Facebook:

She has an understanding of curly hair that only a curly-haired person can have and knows first hand what it's like to have a tender scalp.
If you want to enhance your curl, Carrie can cut it so that it performs at it's best. She will show you the proper products and techniques to showcase your curl.
Are you frustrated with keeping your beautiful brunette hair now that grey hair is making its way into the mix? Carrie has a unique affinity for keeping dark hair luscious.
If you want to control your curl and try straighter hair for a while, ask her about our Keratin Treatments. It will give you straighter, smoother hair for 3-6 months with no damage and no commitment. (Consultations are mandatory for this service.)
Colors with Carrie start at $75, highlights are $50-150, cuts are $50. Keratin Straightening is $200-$400, takes 2-5 hours and lasts 3-6 months.
Carrie is in the salon Tuesday - Saturday and offers late evening appointments by request. Contact Carrie with any questions.

Miss Ehrin | [email protected] | (253) 555-1212
I am a Tacoma native, mother of one very wonderful little lady, blogger/vlogger (The Good Wife Beauty - thegoodwifebeauty.com & My Amazing Life - missehrin.com), Cosmetologist, Esthetician, Licensed Independent educator and Tea snob. I completed all of my professional training at Clover Park Technical College in Lakewood, where I sit on the advisory board, substitute teach and offer curly hair continued education classes. I am a certified DevaCurl (devacurl.com) stylist and a certified colorist with The American Board of Certified Haircolorists.
I have been in the beauty industry since 2005 and continued education has always been a priority for advancing my career beyond the norm. It has given me the opportunity to make a real difference in my community. By participating in and offering curly hair education and hair color education I am able to dispel a lot of myths surrounding the two subjects, changing the way people in Tacoma feel about their Curls, and opening their eyes to new possibilities with hair color. I enjoy working with curly hair because it reminds me of myself, seemingly unwilling to behave but in reality just very sensitive and habitually dehydrated.
After a few years in a different salon, I chose to come back to Azarra because of the like-minded attitude of everyone here. The stylists are striving to be better for themselves, their clients and the industry so don't be alarmed if another stylist comes over to investigate what we are doing. By asking me questions about what is happening with my client's hair, my co-workers are actually helping me become a better educator and it's a big part of why I'm here. This is a safe place for everyone to be themselves, learn, grow, ask questions, express opinions and feel loved. This is my family.
Additional services: Private Parties, MeetUps, Public Speaking, Education, Individual Tutoring.

Born and raised in Juneau, AK Staci loves adventure and the outdoors. She is a new bride, a step mommy to an amazing 7-year-old boy and an expectant mom.
If she's not in the salon or running around to and from school or the grocery store, she can be found in the kitchen whipping up scrumptious foods. Having a passion for cooking and eating, and being a major foodie she enjoys going out to eat and trying new places. With that said, her and her fiancé are dedicated health nuts and make it a priority to eat right and stay healthy 80% of the time- you have to treat yourself to stay human! She is warm-hearted and has a love for helping people feel and look their ultimate selves!
She moved to Washington in 2005 where she started her schooling at Gene Juarez in Federal Way. Over the course of 10 years, she has continued her education and takes classes as often as she can to keep up to date with the latest trends. A few other classes she has under her belt are an American Crew cutting and fading, and Joico theory and color placement.
She desires to keep her business growing and is so thankful that a huge part of her clientele has followed her from Covington, WA and battles the never ending traffic to see her!
